Men arrested in southern Vietnam for drug trafficking | The Star Online Police of Vietnam’s southern Tay Ninh province have detained three men for transporting six kg of synthetic drugs, Vietnam News Agency reported on Tuesday (April 7).
Men arrested in southern Vietnam for drug trafficking | The Star Online The police stopped a car on Sunday night and found 5kg of synthetic drugs in a bag of a 40-year-old Vietnamese man, who later confessed that he was hired to transport the drug from Cambodia to Vietnam’s southern Ho Chi Minh City, the news agency reported.
Through further investigation, the police arrested two more people and seized another one kg of synthetic drug, according to the news agency.
According to the Vietnamese law, those convicted of smuggling over 600 grammes of heroin or more than 2.5kg of methamphetamine are punishable by death. Making or trading 100 grammes of heroin or 300 grammes of other illegal drugs also faces death penalty.
