New Covid-19 cases lowest in six months

In the last seven days, 7,280 new cases were recorded on average each day, down 32 percent from the previous seven-day period.
Five deaths were recorded in the last seven days, down 47 percent.
Since the pandemic started last year, the death toll in Vietnam has climbed to 43,041, or 0.4 percent of all infections.
In the latest wave that hit the country in late April, more than 10.6 million cases have been confirmed and 9.2 million of them have recovered.
80.4 percent of the population have received two vaccine doses.
