Cambodian King to pay state visit to Vietnam
Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni will pay a state visit to Vietnam from Nov. 28 – 29.
The trip will be made at the invitation of State President Luong Cuong, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on November 25.
Vietnam and Cambodia established diplomatic ties in 1967. Vietnam is currently Cambodia’s third-largest trading partner and the top trading partner within ASEAN. In 2023, trade between the two nations reached $8.6 billion.
Vietnam has invested in 205 projects in Cambodia with a total registered capital of $2.94 billion, making it the leading ASEAN investor and one of the top five countries with the largest direct investments in Cambodia. Meanwhile, Cambodia ranks second among 79 countries and territories receiving Vietnamese investments abroad.
