A 77.46m long, 11m wide four-storied high speed boat has been launched on the Vung Tau-Con Dao route off Vietnam’s southern coast.
The sea ferry service between HCMC’s Can Gio District and the beach town of Vung Tau resumed operations Sunday after a Covid-related suspension of six months.
Authorities in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, which neighbors Covid hostpot HCMC, ordered a swimming ban and suspended all boat services to Con Dao Islands, a popular tourist destination, from Monday.
A ferry route connecting Can Gio District in Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau, a popular beach city in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, is expected to be put into service on January 4.
After several delays, a new ferry service connecting HCMC’s coastal district Can Gio to resort town Vung Tau will enter operation next month.
